Cookie policy

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the Facet website uses, why, and how you can manage them. In short: we do not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, so the site has no consent banner.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that your browser saves on your device when you visit a website. Browser local storage (localStorage) plays a similar role: a site can keep a small record in it, for example your settings.
2. What our site uses
Cookies
The site does not set any cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or social pixels, third-party widgets, or fonts from external servers: all fonts and scripts are loaded from the site itself.
Local storage (necessary)
site-lang— the code of the language you chose (for example,en). It is written only when you pick a language in the switcher, and it lets us open the site in that language on your next visit.- The record stays in your browser only. It is not sent to our server and is not used to identify you.
If there is no record, the language is chosen from your browser settings. These settings are read on your device and are not sent anywhere.
3. Legal basis
EU law (Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC) allows information to be stored on a device without consent when it is necessary for a feature the user has explicitly requested. Choosing a language in the switcher is such a feature: the record is created only after your action, and next to the switcher we tell you that the choice is remembered. In Poland this rule is set out in Art. 399(3) of the Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024 (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej, Dz.U. 2024 item 1221). If such a record were treated as processing of personal data, the basis would be our legitimate interest in keeping the site working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); the record itself is not sent to our server.
4. How to delete or block it
You can delete the site-lang record at any time: in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) open “Privacy” or “Site data” and clear the data for this site. The language will then be chosen from your browser settings again. If you block storage completely, the site keeps working, but your chosen language will not be remembered.
5. Retention
The site-lang record is valid for 12 months from the moment you choose a language. After that the site ignores it and deletes it on your next visit, and the language is chosen from your browser settings again. You can delete it earlier.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add analytics or other tools that use cookies, we will add a consent banner beforehand and update this page. The current version is always available here.
